Olya Volkova
As head of OV & Co., Olya brings years of experience in the field of interior architecture and design, working across interiors, furniture design, space planning, and branding. Her philosophy and approach to design finds inspiration in her Siberian heritage blended with Scandinavian influences and a love for bespoke art and craft.
Olya’s entry into hospitality and restaurant design came when she worked at Dupoux Design and was an instrumental part of the team that worked on Jean-Georges’ Steakhouse in Las Vegas. It wasn’t long until the upscale restaurant group Fig & Olive took notice of her talents and invited Olya to work on their restaurants and other projects. She created the aesthetic DNA of Fig & Olive that is felt throughout all of their locations (Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Newport Beach, Scarsdale and Washington D.C.). After years working exclusively with Fig & Olive, she founded her own creative studio, OV & Co., and has since designed spaces for Farmhouse at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles, renovation of her own initial design at Fig & Olive Melrose Place, and a debut in Miami Beach with MILA. Most recently she partnered with renowned restauranteur Laurent Halasz to launch his most personal project, Francine, in Scottsdale, AZ.
Olya has a M.S. in Interior Architecture from the Pratt Institute. Before founding her own practice, she worked at prestigious firms such as Cannon Design and Dupoux Design. Her project work has spanned the globe from the Middle East to Europe and the U.S.
